Innovative Ingredients
The Innovative Ingredients (INGRID) project operates to promote knowledge-based and high-tech growth in the Danish food industry, to ensure Denmark's continued strength as a world-class ingredients country.
This Kick-off conference will:

Showcase the state-of-the-art as well as needs for innovation in functional ingredients.
Six thematic areas have been selected: probiotics, structural ingredients, immunology and allergens, healthy fats, bioactive peptides, and fibres. -
Explore the enabling technologies for innovation in ingredients.
These include: enzyme technology, nutrigenomics and nanotechnology, encapsulation, documentation of health-enhancing effects, and safety. -
Investigate the approval procedures and marketing legislation for functional ingredients.

Gather the relevant stakeholders interested in exploring opportunities for innovation in ingredients.

Facilitate the initiation and development of dialogue platforms, R&D projects, and training opportunities for consortia formation, funding & strategic alliance discovery, and public-private partnering.

All food and food ingredient sector researchers, businesses and regulators are invited to attend this conference and to participate in our workshops – please see the preliminary programme below. We welcome your input and engagement to help us co-create the content, structure and outcomes of the Innovative Ingredients (INGRID) project.
