Drug Discovery and the roles of Informatics
The process of drug discovery is revolutionized by informatics technologies and our resulting ability to analyze and integrate large amounts of complex biological data.
At this symposium leading scientists will present and explore contemporary transformations in the roles of various types of informatics – including bioinformatics, chemo-informatics and in silico modeling - during different steps of the drug discovery value chain:
- Linking patho-physiology to new target definition
- Drug feasibility
- Linking cell models to disease mechanism
- Prediction of toxicity and safety
- Linking clinical data linked to in vivo and in silico models
- Omics analysis of clinical intervention studies
The symposium is relevant for a wide range of life scientists who wants to learn and get inspiration on how to leverage drug discovery through innovative use of informatics. Also, it is relevant for computationally oriented scientists who are curious about the application of informatics approaches in the field of drug discovery.
