FOUR DANISH FILMS IN THE FINALS
Two Danish bureaus have found their way to this year’s shortlist at The Cannes Lions International Festival. Uncle Grey and & Co are represented with two films each, at the world's only truly global meeting place for those interested in creativity in communications.
Presenting the advertising industry with the most creative work in brand communication since 1954, the Festival sees an increasing number of delegates and entrants every year, and this year four films will be representing Denmark in the finals.
& Co has two movies in the Non-Alcoholic Drinks category, one is produced for Café Noir and the other is “Ping Pong Pingvinen” for Carlsberg Sport. Both are produced by Bacon.
Uncle Grey has two movies in the sub-category Retail Stores, and both movies are made for the Danish retailer Fakta. The films are called Checkout and Beep, and both have been produced by the Danish production company M2Film.
This year 260 films are competing in the race for gold, silver and bronze lions and of course the Grand Prix. The last time a Danish film won a lion was in 2006, and tomorrow, when the curtain falls, we will know whether or not Denmark will win again.
