FUNDING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Mar. 4, 2010 | Topic: CleantechIn autumn, all parties in the Folketing agreed on a plan to help environmental companies in Denmark. Now, the plan for 2010-2011 is ready, providing 90 million DKK to the project.
A new two-year plan of action is to help provide cleaner air, purer water and better utilisation of our waste.
On Monday, the Minister of the Environment Karen Ellemann (V) presents the Environmental Technology Plan for 2010-2011, which has a budget of 90 million DKK. The purpose of the plan is both to reduce the Danish and global environmental problems and to ensure more Danish workplaces.
The plan is to support the development, testing and demonstration of new environmental, technological solutions. The plan also supports a new initiative of funding projects abroad, for instance in China and India.
"Denmark must be a green winner nation, where increasing economic growth and falling environmental strains are reconciled. With a focus on air, water and waste, the plan is to help on areas where Denmark is already well positioned to create competitive solutions," says Karen Ellemann.
