DANISH RESTAURANT ELECTED BEST IN THE NORDIC COUNTRIES
Jan. 21, 2010 | Topic: Other industriesFive Nordic juries have elected Copenhagen restaurant as the best in the Nordic countries.
Restaurant Noma located in Copenhagen won the award when Årets Restaurant i Norden was elected last Sunday evening at a large galla party at Søllerød Kro, writes ibyen.dk.
The Danish restaurant which is the only one in the country with two stars in the famous Michelin guide won ahead of Swedish Mathias Dahlgren, Norwegian Bagatelle, Icelandic Dill and Finnish Savoy.
The voting took place through five juries from Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Finland and Denmark respectively.
Apropos the award as Nordic restaurant the name Noma is short for ‘nordisk mad - nordic food’ in which the restaurant has specialized.
