DANISH AND CHINESE RESEARCHERS IN COLLABORATION ABOUT THE BEST SOLAR HEATING PRINCIPLE
Jan. 25, 2010 | Topic: CleantechNew Danish Chinese research project to analyse the efficiency of the prevailing Chinese solar heating principle versus the European. Moreover the Chinese researchers are to learn about solar plants for houses for which they are not traditionally used in China.
Now Danish and Chinese researchers are to exchange knowledge on solar heating, writes ingeniøren.dk.
The Chinese researchers have developed some extremely cheap and wide-spread solar collectors according to the vacuum principle. However the Chinese only use the solar energy for domestic hot water.
In Europe we swear by the more expensive flat solar panels. But traditionally we use the solar energy for heating in our houses – and we have, moreover, developed some very efficient, temperature-divided energy storages.
The two different ways of exploiting the solar energy are to be compared and tested in a four year old project with participation of researchers at The Technical University of Denmark Byg and Beijing Solar Energy Research Institute.
The solar heating project which is supported with DKK 4 million from the Danish side is one of three energy projects which is selected in collaboration with the Strategic Research Council and the Chinese Ministry of Science.
