Jun. 20, 2012 | Topic: Business conditionsNew research facility for alga will be placed in Kalundborg, reports DR, Danish Radio
Denmark will house one of EU’s significant research areas, as one of Denmark’s EU offices in Brussels has managed to attract a large EU science project in micro alga technology to Kalundborg.
- I am very pleased that EU has placed one of its huge projects in Kalundborg, and that we will be a test center for one of the most promising research areas, says Mayor of Kalundborg, Martin Damm.
The test facility will clean water through the use of alga. The center is part of the most advanced development in the field and consists of plastic elements rather than basins.
The facility was inaugurated on 30 May 2012.
