CONTINUATION SCHOOLS AIM TO BE MORE BUSINESS ORIENTED
Companies and further education establishments are planning to co-operate with continuation schools to prepare the pupils of the latter for a future in business, writes the Politiken daily newspaperAmong the initiatives, the actors intend to raise awareness of and increase enrolment in science and technical subjects. The Danish industry foundation is donating DKK four million to support the project. The next step will be arranging specific partnerships between the schools and companies. Over the course of the spring, three projects will get under way, selected from proposals from continuation schools from all over the country.
The initiative is intended to be a supplement to courses and knowledge provided in high school, which is where a majority of Danish pupils choose to begin their secondary education.
