I am responsible for attracting foreign direct investment from the UK market – from SME to FTSE companies across every industry sector – and advising in every aspect of international expansion strategy, particularly with regards to establishing a pan-Scandinavian HQ.

Having graduated in French, Spanish & European Studies, I started at the Small Business Service of the Department for Trade and Industry (now the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills), before moving to Japan to work on various consulting projects (Cross-Cultural Communication, European Linguistics etc.) at many keiretsu conglomerates and universities.

This was followed by a return to London at the Japan External Trade Organisation - assisting management with market entry strategy and establishing operations - and then at a management consultancy providing UK representation for inward investment agencies across France, Spain, Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and North America.

I like to keep very active, and 2010 has been quite busy so far – with family and friends worldwide attending mine and Nika’s traditional wedding at a Shinto temple in Kobe, charity fundraising for the Three Peaks Marathon, co-writing and releasing an EP on iTunes and Amazon, qualifying as a fishmonger at Billingsgate Market, and starting a new life in Copenhagen!
