There are many factors that make Denmark very attractive to foreign investors, among others, the low corporate tax rules that include a favourable expatriate taxation scheme.
The Danish expatriate taxation rules are especially favourable for employees who are officially approved as qualified researchers. Approved researchers need not be fully tax liable in Denmark as they are not required to comply with remuneration requirements and they can choose between either a three year tax scheme of 25% or a five year tax scheme of 33%.
