Capital of Denmark
Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark, and the most southern country in Scandinavia. Denmark forms a gateway between mainland Europe and the Baltic countries. The Greater Copenhagen region covers an area of 2,862 square kilometres and the population counts 1, 7 million people.
Copenhagen is known for an attractive and affluent lifestyle, remarkable public transportation, superior housing, superb shopping opportunities and a rich exciting culture.
Copenhagen is quite famous for its monarchy, which lives in the city, for having its own sandy beach (Amager Strandpark) and for the Copenhagen Harbour, that has water so clean that you can swim in it.
Travelling is easy
Copenhagen Airport is located only 10 kilometres away from the city centre and a direct train connection plus a newly opened metro enables easy transportation to and from the airport in just 15 minutes. Copenhagen Airport has been awarded numerous awards, among others for the best airport in the world and best airport in Europe.
