BUSINESS AREAS

In Ishøj Municipality there are two main business areas; a small and a large business area. In addition there are a number of retail shops which forms a part of Ishøj Bycenter (a shopping centre). Furthermore, it is an aim to strengthen the harbour in Ishøj with more business functions of maritime kind.

The small business area
The small business area is located in the city area near Ishøj train station. Ishøj municipality wishes to support initiatives from business owners who would like to form part of developing the area in a positive direction. Important parameters for this development are favourable conditions for business owners, the location near the station, and many neighbours.

The large business area
This area is easily accessible via several motorways. The business area comprises many types of companies, i.e. warehouses, transportation, distribution, production and service. Furthermore, an area has been laid out for companies with particularly space-consuming product categories. The favourable location means that the area, besides providing services for the local citizens, also provides service citizens from other municipalities.

The greater part of the area comprises primarily warehouses, transportation and distributions companies. Additionally several small and medium-sized companies in relation to production and services are located here. The size of each site cannot be below 3,000 m2. The north western corner of the area is characterized by smaller craft related companies with site sizes between 1,250 m2 and 2,000 m2.
