In two of the municipality’s old business parks (Kirkebjerg and Priorparken/Vibeholm) a restructuring is about to take place, involving a change from traditional production, transportation and logistics companies towards offices and more creative businesses.

The restructuring of the business parks will be supported by an improved public transportation, probably in terms of a new light easy rail and a new S-train station. In Brøndby Strand the municipality is planning a greater city development project, that creates an opportunity for 300 - 400 new homes to be build.

As part of the city development project the municipality is building a community art centre. The overall city development project into strengthen Brøndby’s position as an attractive municipality for living and working.

Kirkebjerg business park
Kirkebjerg is to be changed from a business park to a vivid part of the town for both housing and business.

Today Kirkebjerg is a conventional industrial area, however, characterized by the transformation from manufacturing to knowledge business, which has happened in most Copenhagen business parks in the last few years.

Kirkebjerg is located just south of Glostrup S-train station, so a good train connection is close by, only 17 minutes to Copenhagen centre. Kirkebjerg’s location is also good in terms of a nearby road connection.

Together with the municipality of Glostrup, Brøndby has prepared an overall plan in order to explore the great means of the area’s location. Further it focuses on making use of the area and exploiting the opportunities for people-intensive businesses such as offices, knowledge companies and housing.

Ragnesminde
Ragnesminde is a large and very well-functioning business park with a short distance of the motorway. In the northern part of  Ragnesminde business park a large part of the municipality’s transportation, storehouses and distribution companies to be found.

These include a number of leading international and national companies, which take advantages of the great access to the Copenhagen motorway system.

In the southern part of Ragnesminde business park a number of small manufacturing companies and construction contractors are located. The sites in this part of Ragnesminde are somewhat smaller than the sites in the northern part.

Priorparken
The municipality of Brøndby has begun drafting an overall plan for both Prior and Vibeholm parks. The two interconnected, conventional business parks that are centrally located in the Greater Copenhagen area, have been characterized by the same blurring of sectoral barriers as Kirkebjerg business park.

The objective is to utilise these new opportunities for growth and new use in order to remodel and beautify the area which is centrally located and will have a soon-to-be S-train station nearby.

The remodeling will primarily focus on an intense utilisation of the park for offices and service professions, though in such a sense that a small part of the current occupation of transportation, storehouses and logistics in the Prior park is maintained.

The municipality has a number of industrial areas in the Prior park. Those are not in play at the moment.
