ViroGates Closes New Financing Round of EUR 2 million

ViroGates A/S has closed a private financing round of EUR 2 million. In conjunction with the new investments, one of the largest Danish venture capital funds DTU Innovation/SEED Capital, who was one of the first investors in ViroGates, experienced a successful exit.

The new investment was funded by current shareholders and four new private business angels, and will contribute to the continuing development of the company's operations.

Recent studies show that ViroGates' suPARnostic ELISA kit can be used as an effective clinical management tool. Until recently, the company had focused mainly on resource poor settings, however the new findings combined with the new capital provides them with the opportunity to expand their operations in more industrialized markets such as Europe and the US. ViroGates still remains focused in providing solutions to third world problems.
