7TM Pharma Receives Milestone Payment in Collaboration with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals

7TM Pharma has received an undisclosed milestone payment in their research collaboration within therapeutic angiogenesis with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, Inc., P&GP, a subsidiary of The Procter & Gamble Company. The milestone was triggered by successful progress in the preclinical development of drug candidates for the treatment of diseases such as peripheral arterial diseases and coronary arterial disease related to arteriosclerosis.

In January 2005, 7TM Pharma entered the research agreement with P&GP, under which the parties undertake a joint research program within therapeutic angiogenesis with the aim of identifying new pharmaceutical candidates. The basis for this collaboration is 7TM Pharma's proprietary platform of so-called Y receptor peptides, which the company has developed using its general structure-based drug discovery approach as well as specific world-leading expertise within the Neuropeptide Y (NPY) field.
